Office for Mac 2016 is such a breath of fresh air. Finally a software that is on par with the Windows side of the house - exception is Lync or Skype for business. I am so disappointed at the loss of productivity from using Office 2016 due to consistent problems I am facing with the product - apparently once my mac wakes up from sleep, I am unable to shut down any office application - I have to force quit it and then restart the application.

While that may seem trivial doing this a few times a day is ridiculous. Finally don't even get me started about Lync for Mac - absolutely worst product and unfortunately no update to it. I just spoke to the Answer desk and their recommendation was to downgrade to Office for Mac 2011 as Office for Mac 2016 is in beta - I don't see any beta and I downloaded from my official Office 365 Enterprise subscription. I don't know whether 'Answer' desktop is affiliated with Microsoft, but the advice they gave you is obviously incorrect. To report problems such as waking from sleep, click the Smile button in the upper right corner of Office windows. Office for Mac is a far cry from having feature parity with Office for Windows. Any intense user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Outlook will discover significant gaps in the feature set. I am an unpaid volunteer and do not work for Microsoft.
